MapmyIndia Debuts Satnav for Motorbikes

MapmyIndia Debuts Satnav for Motorbikes
Indian navigation and maps provider MapmyIndia launched TrailBlazer, a GPS navigation system for motorbikes. TrailBlazer is a waterproof, 3.5-inch Personal Navigation Device loaded with maps of 620 cities and 2 million POIs. In addition, an FM transmitter broadcasts turn-by-turn voice directions to FM radios within a particular range.

The device is priced at Rs. 18,990 (US$ 416) and is available online at www.mapmyIndia.com.

Black Box navigation System
In a separate news MapmyIndia also launched a standalone GPS device for cars, the MapmyIndia Black Box. It connects to the screen of the in-dash car audio-video system to offer turn-by-turn voice guidance. The Black Box is available as an OEM accessory with Mitsubishi Cedia Sports edition and Ford Endeavour. MapmyIndia said it can also provide navigation for Skoda, VW, BMW and Audi brands.
